Mr Garry Clawson, a Doctoral Researcher at the University of Cambridge's Institute for Manufacturing, is advancing supply chain design research within the Industrial Resilience Research Group. Under the guidance of Associate Professor Mukesh Kumar and Professor Chander Velu, Clawson explores the relationship between supply chain design factors and product functionality through the lens of configuration theory. As leader of the Global Supply Chain Observatory, based within the Industrial Resilience group, he investigates critical mineral supply chains with an emphasis on open data. Clawson brings over 25 years of hands-on experience in the manufacturing sector across the UK, MENA, and Europe, offering a unique blend of practical knowledge and theoretical insight to his work in industrial resilience and supply chain optimisation.
