Innovative solutions to improve production and energy efficiency of minerals processes

CiDRA Minerals Processing Inc is a globally recognized supplier of new innovative solutions for minerals processes. The first one, the SONARtrac ™ clamp-on, passive flow monitoring multimeasurement technology, was introduced in 2004 and is now seen as an industry standard solution for flow measurements of slurries and key water flows. The second is the real time CYCLONEtrac™ Particle Size Measurement and Tracking System directly from the overflow pipes of every hydrocyclone in the battery. Using that for grinding controls our customers have reached up to 10% increases in concentrator net metal productions. Now CiDRA is introducing the step change separation technology P29, which enables efficient separation of particles up to 2 mm size compared to the 0.2 mm available by flotation systems. Enabling grinding to larger particle sizes can increase the throughput of an existing grinding circuit by over 40%, thus dramatically improving the economics of existing mines without the cost of a new costly and high energy consuming grinding line. For greenfield projects P29 enables new energy efficient process solutions. As additional benefits it provides coarser tailings, so the water recovery is significantly improved, and the coarse tailings materials apply also better for building of the tailings dam walls
