Mines and Emissions - Current status and future impacts

We'll examine the emissions from mines and how they affect the European steel industry. With the EU ETS emissions cap-and-trade system designed to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by establishing a limit on GHG emissions on particular sectors of the economy. We will look at ways the transition to carbon-neutral steel production in Europe are impacting raw material supplies and how price benchmarks such as IODEX are being updated to quantify the mine emission of iron ore supply.
